Through his eyes for the first time I looked.
I saw the grandeur of his vision before me.
The greenness of the trees, the blueness of the skies.
The clearness of the rivers deep.
I followed the foot prints laid ahead of me.
The steps of souls before.
A pathway through the unknown is the journey.
I travel, but not alone.
Two hands are pressed upon me at a cross in the path I come.
The firmness of the dark is felt with the rising of the sun.
The wind through the trees sings its melody, a song of hope and faith.
At the cross in the path I hesitate, which direction now to take.
The path ahead it ends abrupt, crowned with a thicket of thorns.
To the left lies a path of many, a wide and well beaten trail.
To the right lies a path less worn, its lush but for a trail of two.
From the left a voice it beckons.
It confuses right from wrong.
The light in the path diminishes, then darkness does abound.
To the right there is no voice, only the wind passing through the trees.
The light in the path has no ending, it travels for eternity.
To the right my heart it’s drawn.
My feet press lightly upon the ground.
No longer is there silence.
His music is all around.
There's calmness ever present.
My soul awakened my spirit now reborn.
I will journey down this path unknown.
I'll travel, but not alone.

By: Kauri Dahl The feeling of hurt,
I have many questions that are now left, unanswered.
I will make it on my own,
|
You left me confused. This is what you did to me. I will always have this feeling,
This is what you did to me,

We all need God
Some people go through life,
But there are many reasons why we all need God, to be so close and near,
God can be our sheltering harbour when life’s high seas get rough,
And one day we will all need his undying mercy
And we all need God to sow a seed of inspiration in our heart,
Or God can be the balancing beam that stabilizes us as we walk on life’s tight rope,
And there may be certain moments in your life
But God will always be nearby to hear whatever you have to say,
Or he will assign you your own personal guardian angel,
So as you can see each man needs God

Christmas
CHRISTMAS. . .
is for hearts, health, hope,
is for righteousness, a royal robe,
in Bethlehem, Israel,
is for a story that is told,
is for talents, time, the tree,
is for miracles, many more,
is for all things bright and beautiful
is for the Spirit of Christmas-Santa Claus
is for stripes.

Desert Song
I wander through a dry, thirsty land
Time in the desert does not mean God's quit
Relinquishment is like a valley of dross
Yet Abram and Sarai sojourned in a tent
The Lord's loving mercy it never ends
Promise did come to this couple of Old
Just like in Proverbs, I choose to trust

Trance
The final day in the calendar of my stars;
------------------------------------
Seeking Forgiveness
I wept
------------------------------------
I LIKE TO HEAR
Making little noise on the street
There is a gentle whispering
Time for Spring, it awakens
But I like to hear the crackle,
I like to hear the tick of the clock
I like to hear the drops of rain
------------------------------------
ODE TO THE MOON There is a moon far in the sky;
There is a moon shining with light for us to see
There is a moon far in the sky;
Neil Armstrong placed his footstep upon that moon!
------------------------------------
The hand of Christmas
Christmas shopping almost complete
Christmas lights glistening in the snow
The streets so pretty and white
No thoughts of the cold or to the snow in the sky
Could this lonely person one day be
It is Christmas time, a time to give
We are all strangers when we are alone
------------------------------------
Knee deep in Summer
Come, steal away
Delicious, cushioned, soft
Just let the soul
Then bend the knee
Why don't you?

Promises in the Valley Lord of the wilderness, Lord of the Valley You have promised to be My Security In finding this life I lose my own Yet your love reaches me in the Valley The way of the desert is one of surrender
But all along you were behind me
And I will sing your praises forever
It seemed as if - you were not there - Laurie-Ann Zachar Copple (whose name means Victory through Grace)

and think they do not need God, who governs their everyway.
Because their loyalty lies in their riches,
that helps them get through their everyday.
and to comfort us when life’s troubles arise and turn our thoughts to worries and fear.
because we can always find refuge in his peaceful waters
when we think we have had enough.
to pardon an unforgivable sin,
and ask his son Jesus Christ to be our saviour,
so that we can redeem our troubled soul from within.
so that we can possess an enduring spirit and finish whatever we start.
and keep us focused through all of life’s commotions,
on the centre of love, faith, and hope.
when you feel you are completely all alone.
And you will need someone to talk too and keep you company
when your time is all your own.
and give your spirit the courage to go forward and live another day.
who will watch over you and observe,
and make sure that you are OK
by assisting you with everything that you deserve.
to administer everything that they so dearly require.
And be the nutrition that nourishes their soul,
so that they can grow in faith and become all that they aspire.

is for cards, carols, a crown;
children who sing;
healing in His wing;
Christ reigns above;
one Christmas morn, He was born;
something more than gold,
He is the shepherd, we the sheep
are safe in the fold;
for these we give our thanks to Thee;
for His mercy our thanks
we now give!
all things great and small,
the dear Lord loves them all;
there is a star
it is shining in Heaven afar;
for by His stripes
we are all healed

A land of refining and biting sand
The wind as I walk is shrill in its cry
That despite all appearances, God does not lie
Surrender your striving and climb from the pit
Self pity is only running from Him
And burrowing deeper in unneeded sin
Where slowly you realize that you're not the boss
Where what you thought best is no longer a joy
Its empty, so barren, of life it's a void
Believed in His promise and did not relent
When wavered, God did not give up on them
To show that He meant it he gave them new names
He promised to nomads that they'd be His friend
He promised a land, a blessing and son
Passed through the pieces, to reveal He's solemn
For the Lord is more steadfast than all we uphold
And if I trust in Him as I ought
The way won't seem so hard as I've sought
Not my perception, but you, Lord, I must
With all of my heart Lord, I say this in faith
You set your path before me quite straight
If I follow you in all of my ways

My consciousness renders me unconscious
I leave the darkness and the nadir of the brain,
Among bleaky flames of madness
Shrouded by waves
I cross the threshold of a trance
Like the light, I unfold my wings from my ribs
To nurture in a distant garden, a birth,
And from the rites of a wilderness pervaded by a desolate neighing,
The elements of my being take shape
Unarmed, I call you,
Embroidered by a cascading glow
That dwells in the amber of the soul,
As another form,
I dissipate into the void before creation.
To reincarnate afresh,
Look you in the face, and become one with you,
Free of former weakness
And liberated from my past aberration.

For a stream of love whose source dried up
For a firebrand that consumed itself
For a widowed moon
That witnessed the senses flare.
I wept for the lotus tree of the soul
Whose fragrance penetrates the cycle of dryness.
I wept profusely
For each bleeding part
For a song that followed
The funeral of my lightning
I wept long
Until I gave up seeking forgiveness from my tears
Look at me!
Am I not the eyelid squeezing the grapevine?

The East wind brings with it rain
(Though we may pull the curtains tight)
It splashes on the window pane.
Of it blowing through the trees;
And I like to hear the sound,
Of leaves blowing in the breeze.
Very joyful thoughts for me.
I like to hear again the song,
"Cheer-up, Cheer-up, Cheer EE, EE "
While I sit there to mend.
Inside a darkened acorn screen,
Where I see the flames ascend.
With its musical chime;
It strikes out every passing hour,
While it measures out the time.
When all is still at night,
Fall gently on my window pane.
God's in Heaven and makes things right

It is so far away - up in the sky,
Many thousands of years old
It is pure gold.
And I watch it at night.
It comes up over the tree, across the sky –
We watched it there at 105 Sherwood Street,
Out on the deck;
It moved across the maple tree, high in the sky.
So far, so high
The moon travels across the sky -
God's time; peace for you and I
Though it is old, it is in the sky.

One more gift and all will be replete
For that special person, something magical I must find
Something to show how they share my heart, soul and mind
Looking here and there in a store window
All the people about me so busy
Moving so swiftly, it makes me feel dizzy.
By the corner someone comes into sight
A lonely Hand reaches out in need
People passing swiftly, pay no heed
No thoughts for the lonely or those who may die
It is Christmas and where is all the spirit
We are prejudiced as to who we think merit
My son reaching out, wishing for me
Thoughts of my son, home, warm, safe and sound
Thoughts of the future, and what may be bound
Let us not forget all those who live
How can we put a smile on the face of a stranger
Forget not, one day it could be someone else in danger
Sometimes forgetful, until we are shown
Small deeds that can ease the pain of those
Who suffer and go hungry as the cold grows

kick off those shoes and socks
slip from those worn out mules
and unencumbered
feel bliss, exquisite
of grassiness
you now do tread
its coolness on your skin does linger
as you in passing,
step in silence
unfettered
upon this live and living green, green, place.
and soles, unshod
sink in and on and all around
with not a sound,
but only walk
and make no murmur
only wonder on this velvetness,
this unadulterated lush, meshed nap of thickness.
to sink way down,
way, way, way down
for rest
and stretching
let face and hands and all thy being
by this simple swathe, be touched.
Caressingness abounds
by smell, by feeling touch
and starts earth's sweet communion
in all its summerness.
Now, when old winterness is gone a million, trillion, miles away.

Lord of all Faithfulness, I give you praise
It may seem as if you've abandoned me
Yet I turn around and you are right there
You have promised that You'll never leave
You have promised a life filled with wonder
These are your promises I will believe
To be refined of all that I've sown
Even the good that I've done in your name
Next to your holiness, is put to shame
As you renew your love words to me
You fill my heart with a dream and a hope
Of who the Father wants me to be
For everything is too heavy to bear
And I get so thirsty for your living water
I thought unreachable in my despair
Picking me up when I would fall down
Singing your love to my weary spirit
Putting a smile where there was a frown
In the Valley of the "Dead Sea"
If I ever am on a "mountain"
It matters much less than your love for me
Now of your love I am aware
Lord of all Faithfulness, Lord of the Valley
Forever my Jesus, I will sing of your love
"Even the Dead Sea, the lowest place, is not too far from the Lord's face"
