Every man has a handicap that will compromise their way of living,
and bring with it restrictions and limitations
that are often frustrating and unforgiving.
These afflictions are meant to develop our immortal soul and spirit,
by making us more aware of our spiritual essence,
and God’s sacred promise that we will inherit.
They can come in the form of minor burdens
that hold us back from being our best.
Or it can be a serious illness that we have to struggle with
just to achieve a normal life of peace and mental rest.
For there are many who are plagued with a life-threatening disorder every day,
And they live their life in bewilderment, saying, "Why do I have to live this way?"
And then there are the people who are paralyzed and cannot walk,
While others are deaf, dumb, or blind and also cannot talk.
But all these people have a very crucial role
which is more significant than they realize.
They were chosen by God to teach mankind about the value of life,
and the beauty that can be found inside every man’s eyes.
Or others might be intellectually challenged
and not have the adequate skills to read or write.
They will face constant discrimination
because of some people’s ignorance and lack of insight.
There are also individuals whose personal conduct can be offensive
to the people that they interact with every day.
But they must be mindful of their rude behaviour;
and correct it in every courteous way.
And a majority of us are burdened with addictions
that are poisoning us and are hard to break.
But we must find the courage deep inside ourselves
and stop the habit before it becomes our fatal mistake.
So as you can see we all have our own personal handicap in some way, shape, or form,
which we must overcome or adapt to if we want to progress and gradually reform.
But society must always remember that a man should not be judged on his disability alone,
but how he exhibits his inner nature and work ethic will tell us all that there needs to be known.
