Ottawa - The Sunrise Service has become an Ottawa Easter tradition; an opportunity to pray for those sitting in the seats of power. Presented by Mission Ottawa/Outaouais, it attracts more and more each year. Despite a freezing temperature some 200 worshippers turned out for this year's event, with a Salvation Army band achieving music miracles with numb fingers. Instead of Easter plattitudes we were fed with solid Christian food, Pastor Rick Reed exhorting those who had been saved by grace to go forth with good works. Clearly the audience was responsive and supportive of the noble call to continued minstry in Christ. |
