Bring Prayer back into School!

    This poem was prepared by a student in the United States.  The
    situation in Canada is just catching up to this now.

    Friday has come around and I want to share this with you.  It is amazing.
    This poem is by a teen in Bagdad, Arizona.  I want you to read it.  It
    summarizes what is happening in our schools.  I also want to say to you
    in my e-mail today was a petition to put prayer back into school.  It
    contained about 230 names.  Did you know that about 90% of those were
    people 23 and under.  The youth are setting a precedence and it doesn't
    matter what color you are or where you are ... They are pressing in to God
    and I believe the Holy Ghost is going to invade this nation by storm
    because they are hungry.  Revival is going to happen across Canada into the
    United States.  It is decision making time.
    
    Read this poem and then it is time for you to get on your knees.

    THE NEW SCHOOL PRAYER
    
    Now I sit me down in school
    Where praying is against the rule
    For this great nation under God
    Finds mention of Him very odd.
    
    If Scripture now the class recites,
    It violates the Bill of Rights.
    And anytime my head I bow
    Becomes a Federal matter now.
    
    Our hair can be purple, orange or green, 
    That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
    The law is specific, the law is precise.
    Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
    
    For praying in a public hall
    might offend someone with no faith at all.
    In silence alone we must meditate,
    God's name is prohibited by the state.
    
    We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, 
    And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.  
    They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
    To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

    We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, 
    And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.  
    It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong, 
    We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

    We can get our condoms and birth controls, 
    Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.  
    But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, 
    No word of God must reach this crowd.
    
    It's scary here I must confess,
    When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
    So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
    Should I be shot; My soul please take!
    Amen

    Hi, You might know me and you might not, but I am a Christian who firmly
    believes in Jesus Christ. 
    
    Lately, God has given me a desire to petition 
    to get prayer back in schools. If it took one woman to get prayer out of
    school then imagine what thousands of Christians could do with God on
    our side. If we really love Jesus Christ then we will make a stand to
    get Christ back in our schools.

    I ask one more favor of you,  please pray for this. 
    Pray for this petition and our Nation's politicians. If you are a
    Christian and want to see prayer back in schools then I ask for you to
    please put your name on this list... along with your city, state and age
    and forward it to everyone you know.
